Zach is an entrepreneur, angel investor and technologist with a passion for machine learning, embedded and Internet engineering. Zach is a former Arm VP, co-founder and CEO of the Micro:bit Foundation and Sensinode, and co-founder and CEO of Edge Impulse (now part of Qualcomm!).
Prior to this, he served in a number of roles at Arm, including VP of developers, VP of marketing, and director of technology for IoT. Zach was the co-founder and CEO of the Micro:bit Foundation and the co-founder of Sensinode, acquired by Arm in 2013, where he acted as CEO and CTO. He is an active investor and advisor for tech startups, including Operant (Kubernetes for Security), CubiCasa (PropTech), Augumenta (AR), Petasense (Industrial IoT) and Walkia Lighting (Industrial). Before starting Sensinode, he led wire-less Internet networking research at the Centre for Wireless Communications and at the Technical Research Center of Finland. Zach sits on the board of the tinyML Foundation, served on the Tech-nical Advisory Board and Board of Directors at the IPSO Alliance, has contributed to numerous IoT-related standards and was awarded the Nokia Foundation Award in 2014 for his work on the Internet of Things.

Nakul Duggal serves as Group General Manager of Automotive, Industrial and Cloud, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. In this role, Duggal is responsible for leading our Automotive, Industrial & Embedded IOT, and Cloud Computing Business Units globally with direct responsibility for P&L, product roadmap and execution, customer partnerships, growth and acquisitions strategy, and related end-to-end functions.
Duggal and his team have led Qualcomm’s Automotive product and business strategy since its inception in 2011, creating the Snapdragon Digital Chassis, which includes the semiconductor, software and services portfolio across Connectivity, Cockpit and Driver Assistance / Automated Driving (ADAS/AD) domains and built Qualcomm’s automotive design-win pipeline through strategic partnerships with most major automakers and Tier-1 suppliers worldwide. In 2021, Duggal successfully led the acquisition of Arriver, an ADAS/AD stack subsidiary of Veoneer, a Swedish Tier-1 supplier which is now integrated into Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Ride platform. Under his leadership, the Automotive business is now focused on expansion into Smart Transportation and Mobility segments, Autonomous Driving, and the realization of the Software Defined Vehicle.
Duggal is also responsible for Qualcomm’s Industrial & Embedded IOT business where he and his team drive market-leading Connectivity Solutions, focus on driving adoption of developer-oriented Snapdragon platforms and enablement of Aware SaaS capabilities. As part of Qualcomm’s Cloud initiatives, he focuses on offering our AI inference solutions that range from Natural Language Processing, Gen AI for Large Language & Vision Models, Driver Assistance data reprocessing and Computer Vision-based image classification and object detection to Cloud Service Providers as well as Enterprises.
Duggal joined Qualcomm in 1995 in the company’s commercial base station and infrastructure business. Over his career, he has held several engineering and management positions in the development and commercialization of Qualcomm’s wireless and application processor technologies, products, and industry initiatives across mobile, satellite systems, network engineering, handset distribution and machine-to-machine business segments.
Duggal holds a BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering degree from M.S. University, India and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles Anderson School of Management.

Saeid is a strategic technologist and entrepreneur with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and over 27 years of experience of broad engineering and management experience, including leadership roles in Fortune-500 companies (e.g. Samsung, Huawei) and successful start-ups (e.g. WFI, Entropic, Endura Technologies). He is an expert in Artificial Intelligence (AI), IoT, SoCs, and wireless technologies, skilled in driving the development of innovative SaaS products and AI solutions, proven ability in strategic planning, project/product management, and fostering engineering excellence. Safavi has authored 53 patents and publications, including concepts that were realized into products.

Kwabena runs OpenMV, which makes low-power and high-performance embedded machine vision cameras that can run on batteries for years. Over 100K OpenMV Cams are now out in the world. Previously he led all of electrical engineering at Embark Trucks building fully autonomous semi trucks. He has an extensive background in ASICs, FPGAs and microcontrollers.

Jan Jongboom is an embedded engineer and machine learning advocate, always looking for ways to gather more intelligence from the real world. He has shipped devices, worked on the latest network tech, simulated microcontrollers and there's a monument in San Francisco with his name on it. Currently he serves as the CTO of Edge Impulse, a Qualcomm company, the leading development platform for embedded machine learning with 500,000+ projects.

Daniel Situnayake
Daniel Situnayake
Daniel Situnayake is Director of Applied Research & Edge AI at Edge Impulse, acquired by Qualcomm in 2025, and was the founding engineer. He’s a technologist, entrepreneur, and co-author of two popular books on embedded artificial intelligence: “AI at the Edge”, which provides practical insights for engineers, PMs, and engineering leaders, and “TinyML”, one of the standard introductory textbooks for embedded machine learning. He previously worked on TensorFlow at Google Brain, founded the company Tiny Farms, and taught at Birmingham City University.

Sean Varley
Sean Varley is the Chief Evangelist and leader of ecosystem development and partner programs at Ampere Computing. His group is responsible for go-to-market, messaging, strategy and execution of developer, partner and revenue ecosystem growth programs. His team covers marketing strategy, strategic business relationships, business planning and developer recruitment for AI computing in the rapidly evolving cloud and edge server markets. Prior to Ampere, Sean spent most of his 30 years in the networking industry working with systems, software, silicon and broad solutions in engineering, architecture and strategic marketing capacities. Over the course of 25 years at Intel, his work helped Intel build their first branded network systems in the late nineties; their first high density switching ASICs; some of their foundational IO technologies surrounding the CPU such as DDIO & IOAT and their industry leading IO virtualization technologies. More recently, Sean has focused on cloud infrastructure platforms including cloud native networking initiatives, NFV, SDN, SmartNICs and edge evolution platforms, working closely with the largest CSPs in the industry.

Alex Williams
Alex Williams
Alex Williams is founder and publisher of The New Stack. He's a longtime technology journalist who did stints at TechCrunch, SiliconAngle and what is now known as ReadWrite. Alex has been a journalist since the late 1980s, starting at the Augusta Chronicle in 1989 after completing his master's degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. Early in his career, he reported for newspapers in New York and Oregon, worked for a magazine writing about home textiles (ask him about it some time) and spent a year as a television business news anchor. Alex's online career began in 2003 when he did a web event called RSS WinterFest, which was followed by Podcast Hotel, an event all about the intersection of art and commerce and the impact digital media has on independent culture. While in college, Alex played baseball in France, which led him to writing stories of his experiences, and eventually a career in journalism.
